Job Description

The Mathematics, Analytics, Science, and Technology (MAST) Division of Babson College invites applications for full-time, non-tenure track visiting assistant professor of practice appointment to begin fall semester 2026. The position will be a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The successful candidate will teach six course-sections per academic year, depending on the candidate's qualifications and background, on topics that may include descriptive and inferential statistics, simulation, data visualization, and/or predictive modeling based on the candidate's expertise and interests and the Division's needs. Babson College values high-quality teaching and thoughtful pedagogy, together with intellectual vitality as evidenced by either traditional scholarship or engagement with practice. WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
  • A relevant doctoral or master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be passionate about teaching data analytics and have a proven track record in both teaching excellence and deploying innovative pedagogical strategies
  • Eager to engage with a diverse set of learners, including students from all parts of the world and students at all academic levels (e.g. undergraduate, MS, MBA)
  • Demonstrated competency in traditional academic research, scholarship of teaching and learning, or engagement in practice
  • A team player, willing to lead and collaborate with faculty from multiple disciplines to design and teach courses in an integrated, cross-disciplinary context.
  • Must be aligned with our values of teaching excellence, collaboration, and inclusion, and those who embrace our mission to educate entrepreneurial leaders who create great economic and social value everywhere.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Babson College delivers courses in many different teaching formats, including traditional semester schedules, half semester schedules, day and evening classes, in-person, and on-line instruction. We offer programs in fall, spring, and summer. This position will require in-person instruction on our Wellesley campus.

This is an exempt position with the following pay range: $105,381-$111,235.
