Our global agency client is seeking a VP, Consumer Health to join their team. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who has a strong background in storytelling, earned media strategy, media relations and influencer marketing.
This is a full time position that requires being onsite in an NYC office 2x a week.
VP, Consumer Health Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of brand narratives across multiple consumer health clients, translating health insights into culturally relevant, consumer-first stories.
- Partner with internal teams (creative, strategy, influencer, digital) to ensure storytelling is consistent and impactful across all brand touchpoints.
- Provide high-level writing support and creative oversight across campaigns, press materials, executive messaging, and brand manifestos.
- Build and maintain top-tier media relationships across health, consumer, & lifestyle categories.
- Oversee and support the development of media strategy, angles, pitching efforts, and interview preparation.
- Serve as a senior client advisor on brand communications
- Collaborate with influencer and social leads to ensure a seamless connection between influencer messaging and brand storytelling.
- Identify opportunities to layer storytelling across paid and earned strategies to maximize reach and relevance.
- Participate in new business development efforts, RFPs, and proactive pitch initiatives, crafting communication plans and narratives that set us apart.
- Serve as an internal and external thought leader on brand storytelling, communications, and narrative strategy in the consumer health space.
- Author regular thought leadership content, POVs, and trend reports tailored to consumer health, wellness, and lifestyle verticals.
VP, Consumer Health Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in brand communications, integrated storytelling, or strategic comms - with experience in consumer health, wellness, or CPG brands.
- Deep understanding of the media landscape, earned-first strategy, and how to translate science-backed innovation into consumer relevance.
- Proven leadership in crafting high-impact narratives that live across PR, social, influencer, executive, and owned content channels.
- Strong relationships across health, consumer, and lifestyle media.
- Passionate about the health and wellness category with a pulse on emerging trends, cultural moments, and audience mindsets.
- Exceptional communicator and writer with the ability to guide clients and internal teams with clarity and conviction.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creatives, strategists, influencers, and senior leadership.
- Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and energized by building new capabilities and offerings from the ground up.
- Adaptable, resilient, and OK with adjusting your scope, responsibilities, and focus; proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data
