Job Summary

The VP Corporate Communications, Platforms & Entertainment will be responsible for shaping and executing high-impact communications strategies that enhance Comcast's Platforms & Entertainment (Video) services and products to key audiences and stakeholders. This leader will be charged with leading multi-faceted communications campaigns to enhance brand reputation, reinforce thought leadership, promote key products and services, and elevate our position as a category leader in video platforms.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive external communications strategy that aligns with business goals and reinforces Comcast's home video entertainment.

  • Partner closely with marketing, product, government affairs, investor relations and customer experience teams to ensure message alignment and maximize storytelling impact.

  • Lead proactive media relations and develop compelling narratives around X1, Flex, Xfinity Stream and Xumo products, including product launches, industry leadership (events), and customer impact.

  • Cultivate strong media relationships with national and trade media, tech and telecom reporters and analysts.

  • Manage press activities, interviews, media events and product PR campaigns.

  • Position Comcast/Xfinity and Xumo executives as thought leaders through strategic speaking opportunities, bylined articles, and media appearances.

  • Provide counsel, messaging, and prep for executive interviews and public engagements.

  • Act as a key player in managing external communication during sensitive issues, crises, and industry developments.

  • Monitor media trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy and protect brand reputation.

  • Manage external PR agencies and internal team members to deliver best-in-class communications strategies and execution.

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing communications team focused on innovation, impact, and collaboration.

  • Influence executive stakeholders and represent the product organization across Comcast and external partners.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
