The Role
The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within the Intermediary Investment Client Group (IICG) is seeking an Investment Relationship Manager (IRM) for managing and expanding a portfolio of strategic clients in the Institutional Insurance market. The individual will focus on driving growth, retention and strategic engagement across a defined set of insurance firms, including those offering annuity and life insurance products. The ideal candidate brings deep industry relationships and a strong understanding of subadvised and Variable Insurance Trust (VIT) structures, with the ability to navigate complex client organizations and deliver Fidelity's full range of investment capabilities.
In addition to insurance clients, this role may include coverage responsibilities across the Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) and Core Wealth segments, fostering collaboration across Fidelity business lines to deliver integrated solutions that help clients meet their business objectives.
The expertise and skills you bring
CFA or CIMA preferred.
10+ years of experience in relationship management, distribution, or business development with in asset management.
Series 7 and 63 licenses required
Client-first mindset with the ability to develop trusted partnerships at senior levels
Deep understanding of the insurance marketplace, including investment, product, and regulatory trends influencing the industry.
Establish credibility with clients as an investment resource across asset classes
Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner with both external clients (Analyst, Global Strategist, Investment Boards, etc.) as well as internal clients across asset management, product, finance and distribution
Ability to travel up to 50%
