Job Description
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to join its Classified Solutions team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The candidate selected for this role will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Annapolis Junction campus; this is not a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
• Provide technical support for Windows workstations and servers along with associated networks.
• Install, harden, and patch Windows operating systems.
• Configure, deploy, and harden thick, thin, and zero client PCs.
• Manage Thin and Zero Client management servers.
• Manage Windows Deployment Server (WDS), create and harden WDS gold images, and deploy WDS gold images to laboratory thick client PCs.
• Coordinate with users, program staff, server administrators, network engineers, and customer and IT management.
• Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot support issues and escalate to appropriate personnel when necessary.
• Participate in new installations, testing, and special projects as needed.
• Assist with systems inventory as needed.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, a proactive work ethic, and the patience required to effectively support customers.
• Be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3, based on the required qualifications outlined below.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
• Associate's degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
• Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
Basic Qualifications for Levels 2 and 3:
• Candidates must have a current DoD Top Secret level security clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) or must be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program, to be considered; additionally, the selected candidate must be SCI eligible, and the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
• The selected candidate must agree to submit and successfully complete a polygraph examination as a condition to retain access to special program(s), and as a condition of continued employment.
• The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.
• Must have a Security+ CE or equivalent certification; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
• Must have experience supporting large user populations in a secure environment.
• Must have strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft products such as Windows 10/11, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Current DoD polygraph.
• Proficiency in administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs.
• Proficiency in the administration and troubleshooting of Linux Systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Exchange, MS SQL, SCCM, and WSUS.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, including active management of Group Policies and Active Directory.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
• Interest in engineering tools and control systems.

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
