Job Description

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C., and Chicago. The AHA offers a flexible hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Responsible for providing technical support, configuration, maintenance, optimization, security and support for the Workday platform, a cloud-based ERP system for human resources and finance functions. Configure system functionality, maintain integrations, monitor security, identify opportunities for process improvement and support reporting needs. Collaborate and coordinate with Information Technology (IT) and business units to ensure Workday is reliable, accurate and aligned with organizational objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Provide technical configuration and maintenance support for Workday modules, security settings, and workflows, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment and documentation, to meet association and business unit needs and objectives.
  • Provide first and second-line technical support for user issues and system-related problems, resolving glitches and maintaining smooth operations. Interface with vendors/consultants when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage testing activities for Workday releases, enhancements, integrations and workflow improvements that align with business unit and association needs and enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards and analytics that support decision-making and compliance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable Workday technical solutions.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions and workshops to help users understand and effectively utilize Workday functionalities.
  • Identify opportunities in Workday for technical process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and user experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications: Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Information technology, finance, human resources or related field Preferred or
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Workday certifications in Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials, or Integrations Preferred


Minimum Qualifications: Work Experience

  • 5+ years Experience supporting Workday functionality, system configuration including gathering requirements, testing, and documentation Required
  • Experience with providing end-user support, including troubleshooting and training Required
  • Experience utilizing Workday reporting tools including advanced, matrix, composite and BIRT tools Required


Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of Workday functionality, system configuration and business processes - Required
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and business intelligence for report writing - Required
  • Advanced understanding of human resources, finance and/or information technology functionality and business processes - Preferred
  • Proven ability to identify challenges/issues with processes/outcomes, to utilize sound judgment and reliable resources to seek information and data to support decisions, and propose practical solutions to resolve - Required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, cross-departmental programs/projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed on time, within scope and within budget - Required
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities - Required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently by balancing priorities and meeting set timeframes - Required

Salary Information:

Commensurate with related experience. The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.

115000

Salary Range - Maximum:

138000
