Job Summary
Virginia Natural Gas (VNG) is looking for dynamic, career-motivated individuals to join one of the Top Workplaces in Hampton Roads as part of our Field Operations team. The Utility Worker position is an entry-level, developmental role that offers opportunity for growth and advancement through future promotion into our apprenticeship program. This apprenticeship program presents exciting opportunities for long-term career growth and stability in the growing natural gas industry.
Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Interested individuals must be able and willing to travel. Candidates must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel 5% of the time, and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment. This is a bargaining unit position (IBEW Local 50) and is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening. This position is based in our Virginia Natural Gas office located in Chesapeake, VA.
