A creative and innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills. In this position, you will be responsible for the design and management of projects and initiatives, from concept to execution, focusing on the delivery of Truist Corporate Workplace

Understanding the design needs from all LOBs for Corporate Workplace, including environmental design, client experience, and commitment to balancing the needs of both internal and external business stakeholders. Demonstrate the ability to efficiently drive multiple projects throughout all phases of design, permitting, and construction, as well as outstanding communication and partnership skills with multiple stakeholders.

The Corporate Designer plays a strategic and creative leadership role in shaping high-performance workplace environments across Truist Bank real estate portfolio. Focused on design excellence, brand alignment, and functional efficiency, this role is responsible for developing and implementing interior design strategies that reflect the institution’s values of trust, stability, and innovation.
This position will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external design partners to ensure the execution of thoughtful, consistent design with Design Guidelines, and regulation-conscious workplace environments that support employee productivity, client confidence, and long-term organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Core competencies include developing recommendations for improved efficiency and channel utilization, creating differing footprints to meet market needs, partnering with functional areas such as strategy, marketing, finance, and real estate, managing company-wide vendor performance and standards.
2. Provide a consistent brand vision through the workplace environment while balancing high-quality design and budget requirements.
3. Creative problem solver, a collaborative leader, and a brand builder.
4. Implement new design strategies, programs, and standards across multiple offices and lines of business, ensuring an exceptional workplace experience for teammates.
5. Hands-on experience in Interior design, architecture, planning, signage, branding, and fixture development, including corporate offices, and renovations, showcased innovative design and catered to diverse location needs.
6. Lead workplace interior design across new builds, renovations, and capital improvement projects. Ensure all designs reflect the company’s design guidelines, brand identity, culture, and compliance standards.
7. Enforce corporate design standards for finishes, space types, lighting, furnishings, and branded environments. Ensure these standards support efficiency, flexibility, and regulatory compliance.
8. Partner with Corporate Real Estate, Line of Business leaders, Risk, Technology, and Security to ensure that workplace design supports business needs, secure operations, and regulatory requirements.
9. Review and approve design work from external architecture and design firms. Lead internal design review meetings and ensure high-quality execution aligned with budget, timeline, and brand.
10. Integrate sustainable design strategies, accessibility, and health & wellness standards (WELL, LEED, ADA) into workplace planning. Ensure designs meet internal audit, safety, and risk management standards.
11. Curate experiences that express the institution’s identity through branded elements, and artwork within the built environment.
12. Ensure design consistency and scalability across a diverse real estate portfolio—supporting regional workplace adaptations while maintaining core brand and space principles.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Understand Real Estate Development, Commercial Real Estate, Design Strategy, Knowledge of commercial FF&E, budgeting, critical thinking, program development, design standardizations, project management, signage and branding strategies, team building, value engineering, and process improvements

2. 5-7 years’ experience in interior design in a corporate setting, ideally supporting financial services

3. Strong understanding of space planning, varying work models, and furniture systems

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Fine Arts: Interior Design, Bachelor of Architecture
2. Bluebeam Revu
3. AutoCAD
4. Microsoft Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams
5. Adobe Photoshop
