Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the dynamic team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:
  • MD or DO licensure from an accredited institution and ABA board eligibility/certification required.
  • Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology from an ACGME-accredited program required.
  • Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the state of Virginia prior to employment.
  • Care Team model of 4 CV Anesthesiologists, 9 General Anesthesiologists, and 29 CRNA s.
  • One location with 20 sites of service, including 3 dedicated cardiovascular OR s and a hybrid OR for I/R and structural heart cases.
  • Cardiovascular cases include open heart (450-500 open hearts/year), TAVRs, WATCHMAN and MitraClips.
  • General cases include Trauma (Level 1), Vascular, EP, Thoracic, OB, Orthopedics, Urology, General, GYN, and GI.
  • 1:4 cardiac call rotation (13 weeks of call/year).

  • Cardiac alert program

  • American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certified Program.
  • Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Accreditation for:
    • Echocardiography
    • Vascular Testing
  • Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI.
  • American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation certified program.
  • DNV Healthcare certified facility for use of ventricular assist devices (VAD).
