Responsible for leading multiple specialized servicing teams—including Wholesale Documentation Review and Exception Clearing, UCC Monitoring, Life of Loan Flood Servicing, and Hazard Insurance—that support small business, core and complex wholesale loan portfolios. This role ensures high-quality service delivery across internal and external stakeholders by managing operational frameworks, legal documentation, and risk controls within a large, complex banking organization. Must be able to partner with strategic partners and specifically with Risk and Legal Groups.

Partners with Line of Business (LOB) segment leadership to optimize portfolio profitability by maintaining a strategic balance between service quality, compliance, and Truist’s stated risk tolerance. Leads a team of complex operations process leaders, fostering a culture of operational excellence through communication, guidance, and continuous development. Demonstrates leadership through sound judgment, deep operational expertise, and the ability to navigate challenges that impact service delivery, threats to wholesale collateral and Truist’s overall profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serve as a risk manager for wholesale lending and specialty lines, promoting consistency in credit culture and advancing the organization’s risk framework and appetite – insurance risk identification and timely issues management.
2. Evaluate procedures to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and capacity creation, particularly within collateral support functions.
3. Develop and meet critical operational reporting, process and risk indicators to evaluate the health of the documentation and collateral monitoring portfolio to share with senior leaders.
4. Critically evaluate current procedures for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness, particularly seeking ways to create capacity within the collateral, insurance and documentation exceptions team.
5. Contribute to, manage, and/or lead special projects as needed including but not limited to process/system enhancements workstreams, audit remediations, issues management and larger scale documentation/data requests.
6. Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and growth, promoting professional fulfillment through purpose-driven work and high-performance expectations.
7. Ensure compliance and risk mitigation through review, revision and application of policies, procedures and controls meeting regulatory, legal and audit requirements.
8. Serves as liaison with insurance and collateral monitoring vendors on behalf of Truist.
9. Establish and maintain a team culture of trust through accountability, setting high expectations and fostering teammates growth in a supportive, one-team environment. Promoting professional fulfillment and happiness through purpose-driven work.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 8 years of management experience in a banking operations environment with specific experience in operational banking processing, control, audit, regulation and compliance.
3. Strong analytical and organizational skills
4. Proficiency with Truist bank operating system inclusive of AFS Vision and other Wholesale applications (i.e. Salesforce, nCino, PPM)
5. Vendor management experience


Preferred Qualifications:
6. Master's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting or appropriate industry certification relevant to insurance or collateral monitoring
7. Graduate of Truist Leadership Development Program or Industry Banking School
8. Experience directly working and managing onshore/offshore partners


Position can also be located in Orlando, Fla, Charlotte, NC or Wilson, NC

This will be in office 5 days a week
