A Day in the Life:

The Elevator Operator is responsible for shipping and receiving meal product arriving by railcar and departing by truck in an efficient manner with respect to production, quality, sanitation, and safety.

Position Details:

Schedule: 9:00pm - 5:00am with occasional weekends and holidays

Must be able to work overtime as needed

Hourly pay rate: $22.98

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Operate systems required to receive and ship product in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all equipment within the facility
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and emergency procedures
  • Follow switch engine and rail procedures
  • Follow sample procedures as it relates to shipping product
  • Operate mobile equipment
  • Monitor product levels and assist in monthly inventories
  • Keep work areas and grounds clean at all times
  • Actively participate in all aspects of safety including near-miss reporting and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Understanding of related basic technology
  • Ability to work comfortably in high places and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Background in agriculture
