Job Description
In this role, you will utilize technical product expertise and consultation skills to help advisors with assigned wealth management products, including product benefits/features, sales strategies, plan selection, rules/regulations, and suitability through inbound calls. This includes primarily inbound phone consulting for Advisory Products, Structured Products and Alternative Investments. You may make periodic outbound calls in unique circumstances that may involve specific campaigns and/or other approved activities. Responsibilities also include partnering closely with other team members and internal business partners to support client/advisor needs and business objectives.Expertise and consultation skills addressing product benefits/features, sales strategies, plan selection, rules/regulations, and suitability for assigned wealth management products
Capture all relevant advisor call information in Salesforce.com, including pipeline and tracking information
Collaborate with external partner(s) and internal resources to develop and implement business plans to maximize visibility for wealth management products
Partner closely with other internal/external sales partners including product consultants and internal business partners to support client/advisor needs and business objectives
Assist team on various ad hoc tactics, such as special mailboxes, that may be set up from time to time based on need
In unique circumstances, participate in approved outbound call campaigns for a variety of reasons (e.g. focus areas for team, following up to conference, etc.)
Stay abreast of product feature changes, asset allocation approach, and regulatory changes
Required qualifications:
3+ years' experience in financial services industry, financial sales or financial wholesaling with proven phone skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Active Series 7
Active State securities agent registration (S63 or 66) or ability to obtain within 90 days
Active State IAR registration (S65 or 66) or ability to obtain within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of wealth management products, including asset allocation and portfolio selection
Ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner, excellent telephone communication skills and presentation skills
Proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly
Solid presentation skills for use in one-on-one as well as infrequent large group settings
Ability to work in a sales-oriented team environment
Experience with Ameriprise platform and products

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $62,300 - $85,700/ year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
