QuadMed is looking for a Full time Dental Cleaning Technician to join our dental team in West Allis, WI. This position will work Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Cleaning Technician - Dental is part of the team dedicated to providing comprehensive, accessible care and innovative practices focusing on wellness and prevention. Th role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients following prescribed procedures in a professional, courteous manner; actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications; behaves in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of the organization; works with staff members within and outside of the department in a professional manner. The Cleaning Technician must be cognizant of the expectations and concerns of QuadMed's dental patients and be able to respond in an empathetic and professional manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tears down treatment areas, exam rooms and surgery areas
- Sets up treatment, exam and surgery areas after disinfection is completed
- Mops in between patients if necessary
- Performs laundry duties for lab coats and towels
- Maintains compliance with OSHA and department policies and procedures relative to infection control, exposure control, and safety issues
- Cleans, sterilizes, and prepares equipment and working areas in strict accordance with sterilization/ disinfection protocols
- Maintains weekly/monthly sterilization of equipment
- Performs other position related duties as assigned
- Maintains confidentiality of the patient PHI and adheres to all HIPAA regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Dental and/or healthcare industry experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to be a team player, detail oriented, accurate, and efficient
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure
- Ability to be patient, possess compassion and uphold HIPAA standards
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and a demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusion.
