The Role
The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is seeking a Director, Relationship Manager, to provide investment coverage to home office and regional office personnel at leading financial institutions, with a focus on liquidity management solutions. The Relationship Manager will have responsibility for their own subset of assigned accounts, as well as work alongside other Fidelity Institutional and Institutional Wealth Management Relationship and Key Account Managers to deepen client relationships, expand investment product placement and target distribution opportunities. In addition to liquidity management clients, this role may include coverage responsibilities across the Institutional Insurance and Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) segments, fostering collaboration across Fidelity business lines to deliver integrated solutions that help clients meet their business objectives.
The Relationship Manager is the client facing interface to key decision makers, as well as sales and account managers at FI's intermediary clients and should therefore be able to clearly articulate and promote Fidelity's investment capabilities and investment centric thought leadership to advance and defend our investment presence within the client firm's offerings and its related distribution system. The Relationship Manager will coordinate across Fidelity to ensure the client's needs are addressed and that Fidelity business partners clearly understand the client and the investment opportunities presented by the firm and their advisors.
Core responsibilities:
- Development and execution of overall firm segmented strategy
- Expansion of Fidelity Institutional's investment product availability at key distributors inclusive of but not limited to Liquidity Solutions, Mutual Funds, Sub-advised, CIT's and Alternative Investments
- Collaboration with internal representatives across Fidelity Institutional, Institutional Wealth Management Services, Assets Management Solutions, and investment specialists to promote new and defend existing relationships
- Expand and/or deepen executive engagement at covered firms
- Successfully partner with the Sr. Relationship Manager and Key Account Manager to meet all segmented client needs and execute on the team strategy
- Seeking a high level of client satisfaction by successfully providing best-in-class service
- Ability to travel up to 50%

The Expertise and skills you bring
- CTP, CFA or CIMA designations are a plus
- Series 7 and 63 licenses are required
- 5 years of experience working in the financial industry
- Institutional experience in the intermediary market and/or short-term fixed income trading is highly preferred
- Demonstrate strong investment acumen
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of short-term markets, FOMC policy, corporate investing, and industry platform liquidity solutions
- Ability to quickly establish credibility with clients as an investment resource
- Effective listening, communication, and presentation skills
- Committed to constant self-improvement and exhibit a competitive drive
- Operate in a fast-paced environment where team coordination and rapid response is essential
- Extremely resourceful, organized, and can prioritize multiple priorities
- Ability to travel 50% or more in any given month
