Job Description
Join our team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in OB/GYN and make a meaningful impact in Colorado Springs. This vital role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care to women across various pregnancy stages, including routine and high-risk cases, in a supportive and modern practice setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, including routine deliveries and complex C-sections.
- Interpret fetal heart rate tracings (NST, CST, FSE).
- Perform OB ultrasounds and participate in minor gynecologic procedures (IUD, colposcopy, LEEP, cryosurgery).
- Provide gynecologic care, including office procedures and surgical assistance.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient care in both outpatient and hospital settings.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in OB/GYN, including low and high-risk pregnancy management.
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring, obstetric ultrasounds, and surgical procedures.
- Ability to perform and interpret vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and manage obstetric emergencies.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with OB ultrasound interpretation and performing office gynecology procedures.
- Knowledge of complex obstetric cases, including VBACs and complicated deliveries.
- Experience in hospital-based obstetrics and surgical care.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree or higher in Nursing (NP certification required).
- At least 3 years of OB/GYN practice experience, including high-risk pregnancy management.
- Current Colorado Nurse Practitioner licensure and Board Certification.
- Prior locum experience is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Valid provider license and certification in Colorado.
- Ability to coordinate travel and lodging, with up to $750 for flights, $150/night lodging, and car rental reimbursement.
- Willingness to start on 05/01/2026, with a flexible, full-time schedule typical for OB/GYN coverage.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting with onsite lab and ultrasound.
