GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Thispositionwillactivelymanage the clinical operationsofsingle siteor multiple centerswith afocus on prevention and wellnesstocoordinate thecare ofpatients in a health and wellness center setting.The position is primarily focused on managing staff toefficiently and effectivelyrun the daily operations and identifyand proactively address the unique issues within the practice.
Schedule: FT - Travel Required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Health andwellness center(HWC) management.Fostersteamwork andfacilitatesmeetings as needed.Facilitatescontinuous improvement systems throughout the health and wellness center.
- Leadsall health and wellness center Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, relevant allied healthstaffand Clinic Supervisor. Leader responsibilities include talent acquisition, employee development, employee relations issues, scheduling, training, on-boarding, staff communication, and performance management.
- Worksclosely with Operations Manager,Director of Operations,other internaldepartmentsand HWC staff to deliver quality patient care aligned to the client service contract.
- Communicatesand ensuresHWC isoperatingusing current standardized workflows, SOPs,policiesand best practices.
- Monitorshealth and wellness center environment. Works with other departments to quickly resolve moreinvolved,complexor systemic HWC issues; escalates appropriately and presents solutions to the Operations Manageror Director of Operations.
- Compilesinput andadministersstaff performance appraisals for direct reports.Partnerswith Medical Directors and others asappropriate duringperformance appraisal process.
- Completesmore complex or involved incident investigations.Carriesout mitigating measures andinformsother departments as needed.
- Managesmetrics,thefacility, and labor checklist completion.
- Understandsandcomplieswithall regulatory, procedural, and licensing requirements.
- OverseesAAAHC HWC compliance. Activelyparticipatesin all audits and AAAHC surveys and preparation.
- Serveson internal committees and special initiatives as needed.
- MaintainsEHR Super User status; provide Super User support to HWC team and others as needed.
- Travel may berequired.
- Works in the clinic as needed.If clinical by training and education, performs all other responsibilities as described within respective job descriptions, consistent with licensure.Ifthereisnoclinical education and training, perform daily front officeand receptionistfunctions, as needed (e.g.,registration, scheduling,etc.).
- Guidesthe direction of theClinicalQualityImprovementstudiesto meet the needs of clinic operationsand drive patient health and wellness.
- Maintainsinventory and monitorsordering of suppliesaligning to budget.
- Forecastsannual visit volume and staffing needs.
- Clinical responsibilities: Fulfillsessential functions and meets all job requirements as laid out in the applicable job description, based upon clinical credentials held by incumbent.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited medical assistantprogram;orassociate degree in nursingor closely related field.
- Bachelor's degree in business,healthcareadministration,nursingor closely related field preferred.
Experience:
- At least three (3) years of clinical experience and three (3) years of leadership experience (with direct reports) in healthcare setting,orat least (3)yearshealthcare experience and (3) years of leadership experience.This candidatemustalsopossessthe ability to perform basic clinical skills.
- Familiarity with practice management software and electronic medical recordsstronglypreferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current CPR (BLS)certification ormust be obtained within60 daysof hire.
- Current and valid license in the state of the position or compact state license for those with a nursing degree.
- Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCTfor those that graduated from an accredited medical assistant program. Certification through another accredited association will needreview/approval.
