THE OPPORTUNITY
The lab instructor position is responsible for working with students during NST1 lab sections during the semester that course is taught.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Familiar with the overall lab structure; may meet with the faculty or science director prior to each lab section as part of the preparation work.
- During class time, may outline the overall goal of the lab, demonstrate how the individual pieces of lab equipment work, and manage common lab materials.
- Collect all lab results and take down or put together the lab setup for the next class.
- Once lab reports are submitted, grade all assignments and enters the results into the Canvas LMS.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
Relevant Master’s Degree from an accredited university.
Previous teaching experience and/or work/practical experience in the natural sciences.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Babson College teaches courses in many different formats, including traditional semester schedules, intensive classroom experiences, evening classes, weekend classes, and online instruction.
The rate for this position in the Mathematics, Analytics, Science, and Technology Division is 1/3 CE for each lab section which is $2,528.66 per lab section.
