The Role

The Gas Pipeline Safety Control Testing team is seeking a Lead Analyst to spearhead the Gas Pipeline Safety risk testing plan and help deliver a "Best in Class" Pipeline Safety and Compliance program within the utility industry. This role will coordinate meetings with key stakeholders across the gas business, Legal, and the Group Risk Office. The Lead Analyst will oversee up to two risk testers, provide updates on progress, and ensure timely execution of key control testing. Additionally, this individual will assist the Group Risk Office in testing material controls that directly impact National Grid's key assets and customers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Gas Pipeline Safety Risk Control Testing Plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal stakeholders, including Gas Operations, Legal, and Group Risk Office
  • Perform and document key control testing for pipeline safety processes
  • Assist the Group Risk Office in testing material controls that impact critical assets and customer safety
  • Analyze testing results, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or safety within the utility or energy sector required
  • Strong understanding of pipeline safety regulations and risk control frameworks required
  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities required
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as PHMSA and state pipeline safety standards preferred
  • Experience with risk assessment tools and compliance software preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

$133,000 - $140,000 a year Waltham, MA
