A Day in the Life:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance on all manufacturing equipment in the plant. Work is of a nature where decisions are made within limits and guidelines of general practices and procedures under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge's Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Position Details:

Work Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shift schedule including weeknights and weekends with occasional overtime as needed. Hours are 5:45pm - 6:00am.

Hourly Pay Rate: Starting at $28/hour based on experienceand knowledge. This role is eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform mechanical maintenance activities and minor electrical repairs on all manufacturing process equipment (includes cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts, equipment, and machinery)
  • Troubleshoot production equipment throughout the plant
  • Communicate with production personnel regarding status of the lines
  • Monitor production lines and address any abnormal conditions of the machines
  • Perform adjustments and assist line operators with solving problems on different machines to improve quality and efficiency of the lines during production runs and changeovers
  • Work with operators to monitor all safety items on the machines and keep them in optimal operating condition
  • Perform major preventative maintenance activities on the production lines
  • Maintain record of repair work performed and equipment parts/components consumed
  • Maintain tool and machinery part inventory
  • Verify all tools and equipment are properly accounted for and put away
  • Perform other duties and functions as needed by the Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Manager or Reliability Manager

Training Requirements: Food Safety, Food Security, Safety, HACCP as assigned to the area, and Pallet Jack Training.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • High School graduate is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment to include pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves, and various power sources.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Problem solving and trouble-shooting equipment failure skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain standing 100% of the shift.Must pass a functional capacity test prior to employment.
