Our automotive client is seeking a QA Analyst! This role is hybrid with 4 days onsite in Torrance. This is a 40 hr/week, on-going assignment (the client usually issues out assignments at 6-12 month lengths; however, there's no definitive end date at this time). There may be some travel (about 5%).
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Test the client's suite of connected digital products and mobile IoT applications and services
- Perform testing in parallel with two of the client's brands
- Support multiple projects that are both in development and currently maintained in market
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline / experience
- Proven understanding of the software testing and development life cycle
- Strong customer-focused mindset
- Strong attention to detail, including reading and writing
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall software methodologies
- Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android
NICE TO HAVES:
- Project or testing support experience within the automotive industry
- Knowledge and usage of connected vehicle or consumer electronics embedded software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability
- Experience with system and data analysis
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across regions
- Experience writing database SELECT queries using SQL or MSSQL
- Experience with API testing using Postman or SoapUI
- Experience working within a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
- Experience with Atlassian defect tracking and management tools, including Jira and Confluence
