Respite Clinician
The Respite Clinician is primarily responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments inclusive of the use of standardized assessment tools for suicide risk, brief crisis counseling, individualized risk management/safety planning, psychoeducation, discharge planning, and care coordination. The Respite Clinician develops and facilitates groups for site-based clients and may provide community-based support for Mobile Respite clients within community settings.
In this exciting role, the Clinician will:
- provide direct clinical services to clients in the respite program (individual and group treatment, family meetings, treatment team meetings)
- complete clinical documentation (intakes, treatment plans, discharge summaries)
- complete concurrent reviews with insurance companies, case management and discharge planning
- provide clinical guidance and consultation to Milieu counselors, LPNs and Certified Peer Specialists/Recovery Coaches
The Respite Clinician is expected to have a sound understanding of Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Mental illness, substance use and co-occurring disorders and clinical interventions to appropriately support persons served.
Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours
- Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm OR 9am - 5pm
Payrate:
- Unlicensed Clinician - $35.70/hourly
- Independent Licensure - $38.25/hourly

Required Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required
- Intermediate computer fluency including Microsoft Office required
- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle
Required Experience
- Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (clinical degree that provides a path to independent licensure)
- Experience running groups preferred
- Experience with substance use, mental illness and co-occurring clients and treatment strategies preferred
- Clinical experience with adults and knowledge of the adult system of care
