Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electronic Maintenance Tech 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA. Electronics Maintenance Tech 2 is responsible for the repair, modification, and maintenance of a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be working on highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Fabricates, assembles, and disassembles electronic subassemblies.
• Wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic assemblies
• Performs routine electronic preventative maintenance on special test equipment (STE) and test stations.
• Performs test readings using several different instruments, including Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators and Digital Multimeters.
• A strong electronics foundation to be able to troubleshoot to component level to determine cause and remedy for malfunction.
• Conducts routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing.
• Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments.
• Using practical electronic theory and basic tools
• Adhere to Quality Assurance Inspection Procedures
• Ability to conduct training
• Complete all assigned work center specific OJT
• Testing and tuning of microwave assemblies will be part of the job scope. This involves working under a microscope, adjusting gain, band pass, noise figure by soldering small tuning tabs to the board using, signal generators, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers. The candidate does not necessarily has to have the knowledge currently, training will be provided but they must have patience and a steady hand to perform the duties.
• Ability to follow test procedures, work instructions and other process documents.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have High School Diploma/GED and 7+ years of relevant electronics experience
• Associates Degree in Electronics-related field or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in Electronics related position, with 5+ years of relevant electronics experience
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to work various shifts as needed
• Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia
• Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter (DMM) or similar test equipment
• Self-starter with ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associates Degree (or higher) in Electronics-related field or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in Electronics related position, with 5+ years of relevant electronics experience
• Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) in a lab environment
• Experience testing and troubleshooting RF assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Testing and tuning microwave assemblies
• Experience testing and troubleshooting Electronic Warfare systems
• Soldering experience or familiarization

Salary Range: $29.51 - $29.51The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
