The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a portfolio of operations and automation initiatives across Billing Operations, Accounts Maintenance (AMO), Credit & Collections, and partner teams. You'll combine handson analytics with structured project delivery to deliver measurable improvements in billing quality, exception reduction, cycletime, and cost. You'll partner closely with business SMEs and IT on requirements, testing, change management, and adoption, ensuring solutions are robust, compliant, and embedded into Business as Usual (BAU).
What You'll Do
- Own endtoend delivery of operations improvement and automation projects, maintaining plans, and stakeholder communications
- Translate business needs into clear requirements and partner with stakeholders to estimate, prioritize, and deliver
- Lead projects for business readiness, training, and ensuring change adoption with minimal disruption to billing cycles and collections processes
- Analyze and improve metertocash workflows, focusing on drivers of bill accuracy, exception backlogs, and aging, with KPI visibility via dashboards
- Advance automation opportunities and manage project backlogs
- Strengthen controls & compliance wherever possible
- Support customer systems and data flows by coordinating fixes, enhancements, and data quality efforts with impacted teams
- Contribute to major initiatives in billing delivery and modernization, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure readiness and clear customer communications
- Prepare and present clear, concise, and actionable insights to senior leadership, transforming complex operational and automation data into digestible dashboards, executive summaries, and decision-ready recommendations
About You
- Associate's degree and 10+ years of professional experience in finance, operations analytics and/or project management, ideally in utilities or another complex, regulated environment required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field and 5+ years of experience in operations analytics and/or project management, ideally in utilities or another complex, regulated environment preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred; additional certifications such as PMIACP, Lean/Six Sigma, or Prosci also preferred
- Experience with Excel, Power BI or similar for KPI dashboards and benefits tracking preferred
- PowerPoint proficiency required
- Demonstrated Project Management skills including planning, estimation, dependency/risk management and stakeholder management required
- Change management and training experience preferred
- Domain familiarity with metertocash processes, billing exceptions, CSS, reporting pipelines, field interfaces, and lettering/bill print workflows preferred

$94,000 - $111,000 a year
