Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Principal DevOps Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL or Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications:
• Principal Engineer DevOps: 05 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 03 Years with Masters, 01 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• 3 years experience with build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant, GNU make) and/or continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and/or repositories (i.e. Nexus, JFROG).
• IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security + CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 3 years experience with Jira/Confluence in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency with Linux based software development tools.
• 3 years experience with Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating system.
• 3 years experience with scripting languages (i.e. PERL, Python, Bash, YAML).
• 3 years experience with Kubernetes implementation and Day 2 Operations.
• 3 years experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, Terraform, vCenter, vSphere, or similar Virtual Provisioning.
• 3 years experience with container technologies
• 3 years experience developing and implementing CI/CD Pipelines.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field of study.
• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or equivalent.
• Experience with source code configuration management tools (i.e git).
• Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
• Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM
• Proficient with DOORS, Cameo with the ability to write and decompose system and software requirements
• Working knowledge of Cybersecurity technologies, NIST standards, and RMF governance
• SAP access

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $158,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
