This position is Full time on site in Beavercreek, OH
Duties include:
• Mechanical Design including 3D Model of chassis, covers, digital and RF printed wiring board assemblies, heat sinks, internal and external cabling.
• Create all mechanical drawings (component, printed wiring board assembly, sub-assembly and final assembly drawings and parts lists).
• Interface with vendors and fabricators to ensure deliverables meet mechanical requirements .
• Convection and Direct Liquid Cooling design and analysis
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer:
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, technology, engineering, or related discipline with at least 8 years of experience; 6 years with Masters Degree; OR 4 years with a PhD
• Current Experience with a 3D modeling tool
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics to solve thermal problems
• Must be a US Citizen
• Clearance: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customer requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with liquid cooled designs
• Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance
• Experience with the following applications: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys Icepak
• Experience taking multiple designs from concept through fabrication
• Experience designing for, maintaining, and operating 3D printers
Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
