Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Team Lead

The Role

In this role you will lead a team of Procurement Sourcing Specialists who assist business partners with sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and contracting for goods and services for the firm. You will guide the team to be trusted advisors supporting Fidelity's business strategy by mitigating risk, enhancing supplier value, reducing expenses and building internal and external business partnerships!

This leader will mentor, coach, and develop their associates in the tactical and strategic skills required to effectively collaborate with business partners across the Fidelity enterprise. In addition to their management responsibilities, the Sourcing Team Lead will lead strategic Procurement projects aligned for assigned businesses and collaborate with their Domain Team Leader to ensure Procurement's collaboration is consistent with the defined engagement strategy. Additionally, they will partner and work in collaboration with the larger Procurement organization to deliver on pivotal initiatives and KPIs.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10-15+ years in Business, Finance, or Procurement

  • Management experience preferred

  • Experience evaluating, negotiating and contracting with suppliers

  • Ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams through complex projects

  • Experience working with leaders at all levels, from the front lines to the C-Suite

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and partner across teams to lead pivotal initiatives designed to reduce risk and improve efficiency and quality

  • Committed and effective coach who invests in their people to improve their skills and provide mentorship toward career growth

  • Demonstrated ability to drive success with a team of local and/or regionally dispersed team members

  • Proven track record of collaboration, partnership, and customer focus

  • Strategic ability to collaborate across a large organization and implement quickly against multiple/evolving priorities

  • Flexibility to changing needs and process requirements

  • Ability to assess risk and translate requirements to viable business solutions

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, to all levels of the organization

  • Experience with business analytics, developing and presenting business cases and recommendations to decision-makers

  • Commitment to drive data stewardship to ensure data integrity

  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task

  • Provides clear direction to your team that is consistent with Procurement and Fidelity's vision and mission

  • Provides leadership and ongoing coaching to your team to ensure projects are performed in a consultative manner consistent with Procurement's goal of being trusted advisors to our internal clients

  • Use relationship skills to understand business partner objectives and manage your team to ensure that the strategy defined by your Domain Leader is successful

  • Consistent education and enforcement of procurement and risk policies

  • Implement higher dollar, higher risk Procurement projects to ensure optimal risk mitigation and cost savings, thereby leading your team by example
