Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER
Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 7a-3:30p, 8a-4:30p

Summary:
Supports all aspects of the inventory control process for supplies and implants in Operative Services at Main Campus, the Heart and Vascular department, and the Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Utilizes the inventory tracking and control systems to facilitate efficient inventory control. Serves as a liaison to materials staff, surgeons, nursing personnel, CSPD, internal departments, sales representative, and local hospitals. Provides support for accuracy of system data relative to part number set up, inventory usage, and final case billing. Supervises assigned staff. Serves as the point of contact back up for supply issues requiring escalation in Operative Services, the Heart and Vascular department, and the Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Works with suppliers to coordinate the supply and implant of equipment for surgical cases. Oversees the system wide tissue tracking process. Supports the overall service quality and efficiencies of the Surgical Supply Team. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of the MetroHealth system.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field, or in lieu of a degree, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. Minimum of 3 years of inventory management experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of point use systems. Experience with Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP). Excellent customer service, analytical and interpersonal skills. Possesses strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to positively interact with various constituencies, both within and outside the organization. Proficiency in managing inventory systems, barcode/RFID technology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Reliable transportation to travel to designated MetroHealth locations. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred: Clinical experience with surgical sets and implant knowledge. Experience with OnBase, Epic, and TrackCore applications. Lean Six Sigma certification. Supervisory experience in healthcare setting.
Physical Demands: Move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. Ability to push / pull 50 lbs. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
