Assist with the design, coding, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation of new or modified software applications that meet business requirements and enterprise performance and architecture standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Customize coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions, using toolsets for integration of products to configure or generate a solution.

2. Conduct robust unit testing and provide support for subsequent release testing.

3. Create technical designs and implement in-house and/or vendor solutions into less complex environments. Provide escalated support for applications in production.

4. Contribute to the development and maintenance of solutions and participants in various phases of the development life cycle.

5. Analyze basic information and make decisions within guidelines to solve problems and gain practical skills.

SWE’s provide vulnerability reporting, guidance, oversight and strategy for aligned program vulnerability teams/teammates within specified technical delivery organizations.

SWE I skill set must consist of advanced level knowledge of data intelligence tools - Power BI, Tableau and Excel for significant data analysis and reporting.

Vulnerability SWE’s will work with key stakeholders in each vertical to:​

  • Provide data intelligence, data views and assist with triage​ as the generated reporting updates current state monitoring and tracking vulnerability trends and key focus areas for remediation that leverages the banks risk-based approach
  • Assist with standardizing processes & procedures, and advise partner teams on changes
  • Assist with adoption of Cyber process and tool changes related to application, infrastructure, container, pen testing, and API related vulnerabilities
  • Communicate understanding of vulnerability portfolio and leverage go -to resources for remediation assistance.

  • translate reporting into action

Analysis and outcomes of the vulnerability report trends will drive actions for stakeholders to communicate downstream to Delivery and Production Support Operations. This structured workflow and communication expedites the efficient burndown of vulnerabilities and reduces the greatest risk areas of the bank.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. High School diploma or GED Knowledge of programming software applications with up to four years of experience

2. Foundational knowledge of business concepts and terms

3. Effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing basic information about technical designs and system requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of work experience in IT

2. Knowledge of specific applications, systems, or business segments

3. Banking or financial services experience

4. Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (i.e. SQL)

5. Experience developing code or technical configuration of business processes on an Agile team

6. Professional experience building apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level

7. Knowledge of one or more of the following: Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills

8. Experience with Open Source tools and frameworks. Strong understanding of SOA methodologies and service architectures. Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies

9. Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling)

10. Experience with messaging systems (i.e., MQ and JMS)

11. Experience with build tools, such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins

12. Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
