Global Commercial FP&A Lead

Boston, MA
Full-Time

Job Description

Join us as we transform immunology and deliver medicines that help autoimmune patients get their lives back. argenx is preparing for multi-dimensional expansion to reach more patients through a rich pipeline of differentiated assets, led by VYVGART, our first-in-class neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for the treatment of gMG, and with the potential to treat patients across dozens of severe autoimmune diseases.

We are building a new kind of biotech company, one that maintains its roots as a science-based start-up and pushes our commitment to innovate across all corners of our business. We strive to inspire and grow our company, our partnerships, our science, and our people, because when we do, we deliver more for patients.

The Global Commercial FP&A Lead serves as the strategic finance partner to Global and regional Commercial leadership, translating strategy into measurable financial outcomes and insights that support sustainable growth across markets. She/he will drive a consistent commercial forecasting and performance rhythm aligned with Corporate FP&A (budget, outlooks, LRP), converting data into clear recommendations for senior decision-making. The Commercial FP&A integrates cross-functional inputs (Commercial, Supply Chain/S&OP, Pricing, Market Access) into cohesive plans and scenarios; own global COGS and royalties analytics.

Location: Hybrid - Ghent (BE), East Coast (USA), or Switzerland (Remote)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic partnering: Primary finance partner to Indication Commercial Teams; highlight trends, risks, and opportunities; recommend actions with clear KPIs and tracking.

  • Forecasting & performance: Own the commercial forecast calendar (budget, monthly outlooks, LRP); ensure driver-based submissions, robust variance analysis, and comparable regional views.

  • Revenue & launch analytics: Elevate price/volume/mix modeling, launch tracking (e.g., cohort/indication views), and dashboarding to sharpen in-market performance insights.

  • Pricing & Market Access (scenarios): Build pragmatic scenario assumptions (price, access timing, volume/mix) and embed them in plans, guidance drivers, and regional targets.

  • S&OP integration (P&L-centric): Link demand–supply–finance with emphasis on P&L impacts (COGS, royalties); align assumptions with Supply Chain and regional FP&A/General Managers.

  • Controls & continuous improvement: Operate with a public-company (SOX) mindset; standardize processes and tools; codify best practices and lessons learned across regions.

  • Stakeholder influence (IC role): Act as an individual contributor initially, influencing cross-functional stakeholders to help drive adoption and outcomes.

  • This is a hybrid role across argenx offices; travel as needed to support key forums and reviews.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced commercial finance skill set in a fast-growing, multi-country context; strong command of revenue drivers and country P&L dynamics.

  • Expert financial modeling and scenario design; able to simplify complexity and tell a clear, senior-ready story with data.

  • Proven track record running cross-regional forecasting cadences and embedding standards, KPIs, and dashboards.

  • Strong influence and stakeholder management across Commercial, Pricing & Market Access, Supply Chain, Data/IT, and Legal.

  • Continuous-improvement mindset; harmonization/standardization of processes and tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional languages are an advantage.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree required (Finance, Economics, Business, or related).

  • 7–15 years of progressive FP&A/commercial finance experience with US + EU exposure; biotech/pharma strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on with Oracle Fusion for finance and supply chain; exposure to Anaplan (manufacturing planning); advanced Excel and data visualization.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Commercial on forecasting, performance reviews, and alignment to Corporate FP&A (budget, outlooks, LRP).

For applicants in the United States: The annual base salary hiring range for this position is $176,000.00 - $264,000.00 USD. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined using objective, inclusive, and job-related criteria such as relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies and internal equity. This means actual pay may differ from the posted range when justified by these factors. Because market conditions evolve, pay ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted to remain aligned with external benchmarks.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs, subject to the terms and conditions of those plans and applicable policies. It also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to retirement savings plans, health benefits and other benefits subject to the terms of the applicable plans and program guidelines.

At argenx, all applicants are welcomed in an inclusive environment. They will receive equal consideration for employment without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other applicable legally protected characteristics. argenx is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
